But an announcement has most definitely been made:

Support for WOFF is listed as part of the changes in CSS.
Jonathan Kew first made Mozilla&#039;s intentions public on Sept 16th, I just didn&#039;t know how soon in Firefox WOFF would appear. I&#039;m glad it was fairly immediate.
